Campaign Update - 11/14/08

Yesterday - Thursday, November 13 - we submitted our building plans to the city of Concord to pull permits for our building. Folks, we are moving forward. BTW, I already have my hardhat. I'm ready to get to work! Anyway, there is a two week turnaround. I expect there to be some changes. But by the first of the year (09) we will be submitting plans for a construction budget. EXCITING STUFF!

THE PLANS ARE HERE!

THE PLANS ARE HERE!

On Sunday we introduced the building plans to our congregation. It was a very exciting day of worship on our land. The plans will be on display for the next few weeks at our Sunday services.

Campaign Update - 9/17/09

Just wanted to let everyone know that our building plans are DONE! There is a little work left to be tweaked but the plans are ready. The next step is to get them approved by the county and get them locked in. After that we are going to pay off the land and then start moving dirt. I don't have all of the answers for how we're going to do it - but we are going to start building this building in 2009!!!!

Thanks for your giving and support and excitement!
Jimmy

Campaign Update - 7/21/08

It's been a while since our last building campaign update. We should have more to say very soon but for now let me give you what we have.

-We have purchased to full building plans. They are about 80% finished. We should have the full plans within the next 60 to 90 days. Once those plans are purchased we can then begin moving dirt!

-We thought the plans would have been ready about 60 days ago but as with any building project there have been some delays - mostly with the engineering.

-Anyway, God has been working in those delays. While we've been waiting on plans, financing, etc. God has been at work behind the scenes. In water and sewer alone we have probably saved in the neighborhood of $200,000.00. It's a long story but it costs a lot of money to have sewer lines and water lines run onto a new piece of property. Basically, the developments around us have brought those lines to our land. THIS IS HUGE!

All of this reminds me that God works all things for His glory and in His own time. Be faithful Rocky River Church!

Exciting News...!

For the last - I guess year now - we have been working behind the scenes taking the "next steps" in our building campaign. There have been traffic studies, surveys, four months of rezoning issues, and working with an engineer and architect to determine things like where the building will be and the driveways. WELL, ALL OF THAT IS FINALLY FINISHED! Yee haw!

Anyway, our leadership met last Thursday night and voted to take the NEXT HUGE STEP which is to actually buy the plans. Why is this a huge step you might ask. Well, to this point we've only had renderings of the building (pretty pictures). But contractors can't give a final price on renderings, they need to see the actual plans. And those plans are VERY expensive. Bottom line: We have purchased the plans from the architect. We're waiting to hear back on when we will actually get them in our hands. When we get them we going to roll them out at church and really reenergize the building campaign.

This is not the end. We're still somewhere in the middle. I know that most of us thought we'd already be on that land by now. I know I certainly did. But we're getting there. And in about 60 days - you can hold me to it - we're going to lay everything out so you can see how far we've come and the next steps to begin moving dirt and making this thing happen!!!

Thanks for your patient support! AND GET BIG TIME EXCITED!!!
Jimmy, Lead Pastor

Just wanted to let everyone know that very soon, through this site and at a Sunday worship service, we are going to be giving a campaign update. Behind the scenes, we have been working hard to take next steps in our building campaign. Again, stay tuned for more updates.

One update to share here is that we are working on new signs for our land. They should be up in a week or so.

Thanks for your continued support!

This Sunday (July 29, 2007) I will be giving an update on our Imagine campaign and I will also talk about our next steps toward breaking ground on our property. I realize the process is taking longer than we had hoped but we are trusting God and His timing for our ministry campus. Anyway, this Sunday's message and updates will be both helpful and encouraging I'm sure. Hope to see you there. For times and location go to www.rockyriverchurch.com.

God bless,
Jimmy Britt (Lead Pastor)

Update of building project. We have just gotten back our traffic study from the state. Things looked good there. According to the report we can put our drives along both sides of the property without worry of interfering with the development going on around us. We have submitted the report to the city for a final review. Once that is finished we will then give report to our engineer to finish up the engineering on our building. Then we will be able to cut in roads on the property and grade for the pad. FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Currently, we are working on having the land re-zoned. This may take another 2 months or so. Don't get discouraged, often times building projects run into snags like this.

We are also still working on financing. We hope to have some news about this soon. Pastor Jimmy and our finance team is working with banks and lending institutions to secure financing as soon as possible. Please keep praying, giving and working toward this goal with us. Behind the scenes our team is working very hard to begin construction as soon as possible.

THANKS!

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know that things are rolling on. I realize there are still not bulldozers and construction crews out on the land but don't lose heart. Instead, be encouraged. We have a capable team of people working behind the scenes working on zoning, engineering, financing, etc. Things are rolling.

Please continue to pray and give to the Land & Building project. God is on our side!

Pastor Jimmy
