Dear Rocky River Community Church Family, Imagine A Place That Matters. My prayer is that you will catch the vision and open your heart to what God is doing at Rocky River Community Church. Rocky River Community Church is a missional church that has been built on purpose. Our purpose and mission are the same today as they have been from the beginning, “to share the love of Jesus Christ with people, no matter who they are or where they’ve been in life.” Every event, program, service, or ministry has been designed to meet people’s greatest need…to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to get connected to others in meaningful, healthy relationships. In those early days of 1999, when resources were unbelievably scarce, our leadership made the decision to make people, not buildings, property and traditions, our number one priority. So, we used the resources to build a congregation and not a church building. Today, we have a congregation but we have no home. That doesn’t mean we haven’t dreamed of a home for our congregation. For the last several years we have prayed and dreamed of a Ministry Campus that will allow us to realize the full ministry potential of Rocky River Community Church. Three years ago God led our church to buy 12.5 beautiful acres of land in the heart of the fastest growing area of Concord, North Carolina. Our church and our future potential for growth has made it necessary for us to step out in faith and begin making the dream of a Ministry Campus a reality. It’s time to build! However, the cost of building a new facility for our church is too expensive for our regular budget to handle or for just a few families to carry the load. As in the past, it is time for us to be “The Church” and team up to do something great for our God. Our theme is Imagine A Place That Matters. Often to reach your goals or receive a blessing means giving it all you have and going the extra mile! While we cannot all give the same amount, we can all give something over a 3-year period as we make sacrifices in our spending. Over the next few weeks and months you will be receiving more information about the specifics of this campaign. You can also go to a website we have set up specifically for this campaign to give you up to the minute information on the campaign and our progress. The address is www.aplacethatmatters.org. For now, I ask you to pray and imagine. Imagine a place where spiritual seekers (our neighbors and friends) can come “just as they are” and ask their questions about God and the Bible. Imagine a place where thousands of children, Middle School and High School students and adults can learn of the joys of following Jesus Christ and living out His purpose for their lives. Imagine being a part of something that will last for future generations. Imagine a place where you can contribute to something bigger than yourself. Imagine being a part of something that will change lives for eternity. IMAGINE A PLACE THAT MATTERS! Thank you for your time and support! God’s Best. Imagining…
