2007-2-22 UPDATE

Hello everyone. I wanted to let you know that I had a great meeting today with a bank in our area. This bank is very interested in giving us the financing we need to begin construction. What I want to let you know is that we've never stopped moving the "ball" forward. We are getting closer to breaking ground everday. So, don't quit giving, praying and moving the vision of our church and this Ministry Campus forward.

We have some work to do like rezoning the land (a rather simple process) and we have to finish the engineering. I should be able to give you a timeline on things pretty soon.

PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR GOD'S FAVOR IN OUR FINANCING EFFORTS. AND STAY EXCITED!

Grading/Banking/Zoning

Hey Friends of Rocky River Community Church!

Just wanted to ask you to pray for the church and our building program over the next two weeks. Here's what is going on...

1. I meeting with Zoning and Planning this week to work out a couple of zoning issues. This should be a formality but you never know.

2. Next week members of our Staff Team and Building Team will be meeting with a local bank to try and secure financing. THIS IS A HUGE STEP. With financing in place the rest is only details...

3. We are also working out some of the engineering issues so that in a few weeks we can begin grading our driveway, parking lot and building pad.

These banners will go up on the land tomorrow!

These banners will go up on the land tomorrow!

Hey Rocky River! Get excited! We will be putting these banners up on the land tomorrow!

Still Working...

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know that we're still working hard on the building campaign. Mike Monroe is working hard to get all the necessary pieces put together - like topography maps, engineering, appraisals, etc.

Another big piece we're working on now is financing. Please pray that we find just the right lender so we can get tractors out on the land moving dirt!!!

Stay encouraged!

A Contractor

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know that we are in the process of bidding out the building to different contractors. We're trying to dial in the cost of the building so that we can take the next BIG step of securing financing.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that we have folks working really hard on this. Keep praying!!!

God bless...
Jimmy

Giving to the Campaign

I just wanted to encourage you to begin giving to the campaign if you haven’t already. There may have been a little confusion about when to start giving your financial commitments to Imagine A Place That Matters. So, if you didn’t start giving in December, be sure to start this month (January). It is crucial that we all keep up the excitement of the campaign and keep it going forward – we will do this as we give.

God bless you guys! Stay tuned for more important details coming up very soon.

Update On Building Progress

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that we are pressing forward with our building plans. Mike Monroe and others are feverishly working behind the scenes to make Phase 1 of our Ministry Campus happen. The best thing that you can do right now is...

1. Keep attending
2. Keep serving
3. Keep inviting your unchurched friends and family
4. Keep giving, and by all means
5. KEEP PRAYING!

Our goal is to break ground sometime in March or April of 2007.

God's Best,
Pastor Jimmy

A Place That Matters Update (12-14-2006)

  • Cindy Slehan has been retained as the civil engineer for land development.
  • Randy Seavers is working on the final design of the building and the civil engineering of plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
  • Once the engineering is complete, we will be able to obtain approval from the city and county to start the building phases.
  • Final budgets are being worked on for the development of the land and building.
  • Estimated 3-4 months for the completion of the design and engineering.

This is an exciting time for our church. Stay tuned on this web site for updates on our building project.

TODAY WAS A HUGE DAY AT ROCKY RIVER!

Today was a great day at Rocky River! It was celebration Sunday where we gave a one-time offering (cash) and a pledge card for a three-year monthly commitment.

Here are the numbers…

One time cash gift, $82,110.00

36-month commitment, $501,676.00

That's a total giving pledge of $583,786.00.

This is huge! It’s a miracle! Seriously. Gang, we are on our way to that ministry campus!!! But check it out. We can't sit back on this and relax. Some have not yet made a commitment. We need you. The more money we have the more building we can build. And, now we must be sure to follow through on our commitments.

THIS SUNDAY IS GOING TO BE HUGE!!!

This Sunday coming up is going to be HUGE. And it is going to be an historical day in the life of Rocky River Community Church. In preparation of this great event, there are a couple of things I would like to share with you so that you can get the most out of this day.

Here you go…

1. Be there! This day will not be the same without you. No matter what your pledge or your offering; we need you in attendance this Sunday [November 19]. It will not be HUGE if you don’t attend.

2. Be early. Because we are only doing one service this Sunday [at 11:00AM] it is going to be a madhouse. Be early so we can start on time and you can get a good seat.
